Why can't people simply make and post their fan-creations because they enjoyed making them and would like to make them accessible for other fans to enjoy? Why can it not be as simple as this?
How can one publicly state that they will not make their next video or write their next fan-fiction or draw their next artwork unless they get a certain number of hits or positive reviews for the last one?
If disappointing stats numbers would keep you from being creative, then you are no true artist; you are an attention-seeking stats whore. I mean, what is it you want? Fame? Fortune? Respect? Admiration? Recognition? Demanding hits only makes you look like a whiny, self-centered brat. It makes you look worse than the . . . *swallows back vomit* . . . the "SHOW ME THA LUUUUUUURRRRVE!!!11!11!" idiots.
It's your choice to make such demands, though. You're free to do it, but you lose my respect. You'll likely fall out of favor with others, as well. Good luck with that.
